At ScriptPacer, accessible from ScriptPacer.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information we collect and how we protect your scripts and personal data.

1. Client-Side Only Data Policy

Unlike traditional software products, ScriptPacer does not transmit your script text to any external web servers or databases.

All scripts you write, duplicate, edit, or import remain entirely stored in your browser's local cache (known as localStorage). No employees of ScriptPacer or third parties can access, read, or inspect your scripts. You retain 100% proprietary ownership of your creative content.

2. Camera and Audio Permissions

When utilizing our floating webcam overlay helper, ScriptPacer will request standard browser permission to access your device's video camera (using the getUserMedia API).

  • We do not record, save, store, or stream your webcam feeds.
  • The video feed is projected strictly locally onto an HTML video container element in your current tab.
  • We explicitly disable the microphone capture stream to prevent any audio feedback loops.

3. Cookies and Analytics

ScriptPacer uses standard tools to monitor site performance and organic traffic trends:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to measure visitor counts, scroll depths, and button interactions to improve UX. This collects anonymized data such as your general location, browser type, and time spent on the page. You can opt-out by installing Google's official analytics blocker.
  • LocalStorage: We use local storage to save your visual teleprompter options (fonts, speeds, mirror toggles, opacity values) and save scripts locally for persistent workflows.

4. Third-Party Advertisements

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

5. Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our site. Google may use cookies and web beacons to collect data about your browsing behavior to serve personalized ads.

Users can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. For more information about Google's ad personalization, visit Google My Ad Center.

6. GDPR Compliance (EU/UK/Switzerland)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to collect consent before processing personal data for advertising purposes.

We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with the following signals: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie consent banner displayed on our site. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. CCPA Compliance (California, USA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the following rights:

  • The right to know what personal data is collected about them.
  • The right to request deletion of their personal data.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal data.

We do not sell personal information. However, third-party advertising services (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies for personalized advertising. California residents can opt out of personalized ads via Google's Ad Settings.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ScriptPacer is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at contact@scriptpacer.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
